Canadian Drug Reform Advocate Jerry Martin has dedicated much of his adult life to fighting for Canadians to have fair access to medical cannabis.

Originally from Vancouver, he is well known across Western Canada for his drug reformation activism and advocacy. He has become a prominent figure in the cannabis and psychedelic communities and champions the decriminalization and legalization of psychedelics along with the constitutional right for medical cannabis users to access local dispensaries.

Dr. Richard Knowles is a licensed psychologist working at a psychiatry and psychotherapy clinic in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is the founder and executive director of Delos Psyche Research Group. He has served as faculty at Sofia University, teaching classes on psychology and consciousness studies.

As a researcher, his topics of inquiry include consciousness studies, altered states of consciousness, psychedelic studies, and exceptional human experience. He also works for the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) as a lead adherence rater for their MDMA-assisted psychotherapy research treating PTSD, and looks forward to conducting a wide variety of psychedelic research in the future.

Dr. Sanjeev Goel is a practicing medical physician and the founder of Peak Human, a practice dedicated to helping his patients live 100x their potential NOW. He believes in a holistic approach to wellness as has done training in Anti-Aging, Integrative and Regenerative Medicine. He advocates a healthy lifestyle centred around plant based diet, focused physical activity and enhancing mental resilience. He also runs a medical cannabis clinic called Canadian MedCanna Clinics in Brampton, Ontario.

Dr. Goel’s journey on understanding the potential of psychedelic medicine to heal ourselves begin with a providing psychotherapy to those suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression and eating disorders. Over the past 20 years, he has taught mindfulness and published a book called “Awakening from a Mindless Life”.

Dr. Goel believes that we should have access to the best medical and health technologies available. Prior to Peak Human, he was the CEO of i6 Technologies Inc who developed the largest patient health portal in Canada called miDash. The assets were sold in 2019 to AIHS. Dr. Goel also hosted the first ever Biohacker Summit in Toronto (Oct 2018) bringing culture, technology and health together and this past year held the 1st annual Peak Human Advanced Anti Aging and Technology Summit Virtual Summit that had over 20K attendees.

Paul Lewin has been a criminal defence lawyer in Toronto and across Canada for over 20 years. His focus concerns litigation and consultation on matters related to the cannabis plant and psychedelics. He advocates for cannabis rights with the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws in Canada.

Dr. Vince Polito is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Cognitive Science at Macquarie University.

His research investigates consciousness, beliefs and self representation. His PhD research won the Ernest Hilgard Award from the American Psychological Association. In February 2019 he published the first longitudinal study on the effects of microdosing psychedelics.

Michael Starogiannis brings over 24 years of experience in various capacities of analysis, design, governance, and project management to MindTech Therapeutics.

He refines business plans and advances entrepreneurial projects from concept to reality. When not assisting small companies and start-ups with business strategy, corporate development, and financial modelling, Michael serves on the Board of Directors of Sailfish Royalty Corp and also works as a part time Instructor at the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto teaching Mine Economics.

Prior to his time in business consultancy, mining finance and work as an investment analyst, Michael practiced as a Professional Engineer in the mining and heavy civil infrastructure sectors.

Henria Stephens has worked in the Agriculture, Healthcare and International Development Sector for nearly 20 years. She is a champion of justice and fairness and returned to law school to hone her advocacy skills. As an articling student working jointly with Lewin&Sagara and Cannabis Law, she is happy to contribute to this dedicated and innovative team.

Daniel Perlin is a corporate commercial lawyer with over ten years of experience. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the New York State Bar. He holds a Masters in Business Administration in addition to his law degree.
